We Made It!

There is no better feeling of accomplishment than riding 240 miles through scenic forests. We've included a couple of "family" shots at trails end.

We rode our first crossing without kids, not knowing what to expect along the way. This shot was taken when we made it into Lake Michigan after starting in Lake Huron. "Cricket", the Leopard Spotted Appaloosa (your basic white horse) and "Patches", the Spotted Saddle Horse were our trusted companions for the crossing.

Our second crossing was as a family. Our kids, ages 10 and 12 had a blast. We should have taken them along on our first outing! This shot was taken when we made it to Lake Huron after starting at Lake Michigan. Believe it or not, completing the trip "in reverse" actually makes it seem like a different trip since the scenery looks different from the opposite direction. From left to right, "Cricket", "Patches", "Toby" (Ponies of America, POA) and Ranger (Quarter Horse).

Interested in a few more photo's? We tried to balance the pages download speed vs. graphic content and didn't get to include nearly as many photo's as we would have liked. We put the site together with a '89 vintage 25 MHz Mac IIci so we were speed challenged as well. We do have a few more photo's for you to enjoy if you would like, to more photo's. We hope you've enjoyed the site and we look forward to seeing you on the trails!!!!
