Who knows, you might even run across some elk along the way like these, photographed near the North spur camp, Elk Hill. As is typical of most photo-ops, the horse decides to move at the most inopportune time, near sunset when slow shutter speeds are required. It doesn't diminish the excitement and pleasure of seeing the elk however!!

We've always enjoyed riding alone the AuSable river especially close to fall. Many of the water pictures from high banks were taken along the AuSable. We hope you've enjoyed them!
We also ride with our kids as much as possible as they've been growing up. We feel nature is one treasure everyone should take the time to enjoy as a family! Our daughter and Cricket are enjoying a lake near the North Spur camp on Walsh Road.
I personally am rarely in front of the camera. My wife did catch me while we were riding late one fall however. I was on Ranger, my trusted AQHA companion for 9 years of riding the trails.
