HOW TO BECOME A MEMBER OF THE MSA
Regular membership in this Association is open to the following persons:
(a) Those holding a bachelor's or
graduate degree or its equivalent in
sociology or a related field. (b) Those teaching sociology or a related
topic at or above the high school level. (c) Those who are engaged in
sociologically related research or practice. (d) Undergraduate or
graduate students majoring in sociology or a related field.
One becomes a member by attending the
Fall Conference and paying the conference fee or by mailing dues to the
Treasurer at other times.
Current annual individual dues are
$60 per year for faculty members and other professionals
and $30 for students. Benefits of membership include:
A subscription to the journal, Michigan
Sociological Review, which is published annually.
Networking with your fellow sociologists
in Michigan.
Information on meetings and other news of
concern to sociologists in Michigan.
A forum for presentation of your research
and ideas.
And, not least, a chance to support your
profession at the state level.
The best way to join is to attend our next Fall
Conference. You get all the benefits of membership
plus a full conference including lunch for no more money.
