The Michigan Sociological Association gives three major professional awards annually: 

The Charles Horton Cooley Award for distinguished scholarship in sociology, the Marvin Olsen Award for distinguished service to sociology and the Larry T. Reynolds Award for outstanding teaching of sociology (established 2006).
